All private cars in Hong Kong aged six years or older must undergo annual vehicle inspection at a designated vehicle testing centre before their licence renewal to ensure compliance with the Road Traffic Regulations (Cap. 374). Vehicle owners no longer need to wait until their licence expires; they can have their licence inspected and renewed four months before its expiry date. Customers must present their vehicle registration documents (license plate) in person for this service. This service includes a comprehensive pre-MOT inspection, an inspection at a designated government vehicle testing centre, and a government vehicle inspection fee of $585.

*If the amount of oil exceeds 5 litres, the charge is $120 per litre.
